IT Business Analyst

Job summary

We’re looking for an IT Business Analyst who will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions for Greek Public Sector. He/ She will be responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, and facilitating effective communication between stakeholders, business users, and technical teams. The IT Business Analyst will work closely with project managers, developers and other IT professionals to ensure the successful delivery of technology projects and initiatives. He/ She will be reporting to the Software Technical Director.

Job Responsibilities

• Provides vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements.
• Conducts & manages the overall analysis & design of our solutions, including clients’ requests on new features.
• Participates in clients’ analysis sessions.
• Creates functional specifications for solutions, defines configuration specifications and business analysis requirements.
• Identifies client’s needs, analyses complex business problems that meets the needs of the client and transform them into functional use cases and user stories.
• Works closely with implementation consultants and software engineers to determine best IT solution.
• Conducts & manages the overall analysis & design of our solutions, including clients’ requests on new features.
• Creates business diagram flows.
• ·Provides scoping & pre-costing.
• Conducts analytical specs towards Product development.
• Monitors product development for prompt implementation of such solutions / features.
• Conducts product documentation & manuals.
• Builds QA Test case scenarios and audits the quality of coding and functionalities, proposes and implements improvements.

Job Qualifications & Skills

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• 4-6 years of working experience in a similar role, preferably in the Public Sector domain.
• Technical background with hands-on experience in software development and software projects.
• Highly organized, highly procedural, methodical and have a keen eye for detail.
• Sharp analytical, problem-solving and written communications skills.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) will be considered as an asset.
• Strong understanding of business analysis principles, processes, methodologies and best practices.
• Proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements, conducting gap analysis, and defining scope and objectives.
